Pewpewpew

What is it?
PewPewPew or just PEW in short is concept for a multiplayer game where you fly around and shoot each other with spaceships. You can play with 2-4 players in a small map. It's a game of elimination where each player starts with 5 stocks of lives. Where one missile is enough to destroy the enemy spaceship. Games are short and intense with little room for error. Even the game throws hazardous objects at you intent on destroying your spaceship. The tense game induces tight buttclenching as you try to fire or flight from an enemy spaceship.

History and Future
The concept for the game was inspired by games such as Asteroids and Gravitation. I originally intended it to be a Flash game. This is from a demo with flight, shooting and crash mechanics implemented. The game never got into further development though because i don't really enjoy coding. I think this game would be much better suited for todays tablets or as a web browser game. As a free-to-play game or release it on steam so that the game becomes widely available. The game is simple to learn, but hard to master. Which makes the game approachable for the unskilled and hardcore players alike.

Spaceship
The spaceship works exactly like Asteroids except you can fly in reverse just slower by using bursts of air. For shooting you have the option of firing the default single bullets or a special weapon.

Weapons
You can pick up special weapon powerups in this game and use them for five shots. You can have the special weapon and default weapon at the same time, but you can't fire both since the spaceship have a fire rate coldown.

Maps
In this game you can play on different types of maps, each with it's own unique trait.

Map: Asteroid Belt
Asteroid Belt is a circular map based on Saturn. You can crash both into the planet and the asteroids. The asteroids are seperated into two fields, foreground and background. When the belt is in foreground you may crash into the asteroids. The asteroid belt keeps spinning and it's angle changes over time. Crashable objects are always marked in a black outline. If you exit the frame you will enter on the opposite side.

Map: Orbit
Orbit is an open map that takes place outside the orbit of earth. It's a map that always has two big objects flying across the screen. Be it satellites, spaceships, rocket ships, ufos, space debris or meteorites. Most of the time you can fly in an infinity circle pattern.

Map: Asteroids
The game wouldn't be complete without the classic asteroids. In this map you start out with only a few asteroids on the map. As the game progresses more asteroids will enter and fly across the screen. Increasing the difficulty as time goes on. The asteroids can be split by attacking them a few times. Some asteroids contain weapon upgrades or powerups as seen on the picture. The asteroids has hit points based on size.

Map: Spheres
Spheres is the obligatory generic symmetric non-themed map that every game has. It consists of 3 spinning wheels with a number of openings. Unlike the other maps this one has a border which you can crash into.

Map: Greens
Greens is a grass/dirt map with with static enviroment. It's designed with racing in mind so that you can fly around in high speed pursuits. The narrow holes allows for some risky clutch escapes or the ability to "snipe" players.
